Book Signing Event at Left Bank Books
Award winning author, Ashley Rhodes-Courter, was at Left Bank Books (399 N. Euclid in the Central West End) on Saturday April 5th. She spoke to a large group of CASA supporters about her experience in the child welfare system. Twenty-two now, Ashley wrote the book to piece together the puzzle of her past and to thank those who helped her along the way. She has become a well-known advocate for adoption and foster care reform and has been featured in Teen People, Glamour and USA Today.
Everyone enjoyed listening to her speak, and many got their books signed by the author. Afterwards many of the attendees went to eat at Dressel’s, Duft’s Restaurant and Sapphire Pan Asian, which all donated 10 percent of their proceeds to CASA.
We would like to thank Left Bank Books for hosting and working with us on this event, as well as the participating restaurants, and supporters who came out that night.
