Movies/Documentaries

CASA requires that each volunteer advocate complete 12 hours of in-service training per year (according to volunteer swear-in date). Movies/documentaries and books are worth one to two hours of in-service training (as to be determined by a case advocacy supervisor).

Some examples of movies/documentaries that could be utilized for in-service training include A Class Divided, The Color Purple, Inside the Teenage Brain, Losing Isaiah, Medicating Kids, The Blind Side, August Rush, The Kite Runner and Something about Amelia.

For a complete and updated list, advocates should contact their Case Advocacy Supervisor or call (314) 615-2908.
