Forgotten Children Campaign
For too many Americans, children in foster care are all but forgotten. National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association is working to change that with the Forgotten Children campaign, created to raise awareness of foster children and to aid in the recruitment of much-needed CASA volunteer advocates who work together with the court system in the best interests of foster children. National CASA launched the Forgotten Children campaign with a dramatic event on the Mall in Washington, DC, in the spring of 2008. Inspired by the event’s success, CASA and GAL programs across the country have staged Forgotten Children events in their own communities.
