CASA University
CASA University Training Program
Our CASA volunteers come from every walk of life. To guarantee that all have proper preparation for their role, we require an extensive training program to familiarize them with all the systems that affect a child.
The entire program consists of 33 hours of training with the following components:
- one hour information meeting
- two hour individual interview
- 27 hours classroom instruction
- two hours attending a Continuing Education case discussion
- two hours of independent study, including court observation
After graduating from CASA University, the CASA volunteer is sworn in by the Family Court and assigned to a Case Advocacy Supervisor in charge of assigning you a case.
